Hate to be harsh, but...

If you want to just "make a point", then go post something on the messageboard. If you're going to do something in flash, then it had better be in a way that you wouldn't be able to accomplish in plain text.

The fact that you slapped together something this entry and just threw it up on Newgrounds doesn't make much of a point beyond "HI. I don't want to take the effort to make a good impression or statement". Honestly, you are more clear and effective in your "description" of the movie than anything else.

Splent responds:

I totally understand your point, but this was all I could think of at the spur of the moment when I really was mad. I see where you are coming from, but I just wanted to get it out there. I'm like that sometimes, I just want to be heard. More people look at the movie than at the message board anyway.

"I agree with my brother, Wade Fulp"

First Captain PLanet... now tis movie... I'm actually starting to like the Clock Crew.

Anyone that can make me laugh at meta-humor is okay in my book. :)

Heehee!

Y'know... most of the clock crew stuff seemed hit or miss... but somehow juxtaposing Clock Crew with Captain PLanet and getting a few digs in at kio made me chuckle. Good job.

I echo the previous review's statements 100%

A bit too broad in its satire in some places...

...but still a thoroughly enjoyable satire of the many newscasts which seem focused on terror and negativity.

While it stands to reason that not all jurnalists and politicians are bad or evil, this certainly is a wonderful example of parody that combines just the right amount of wit with the right amount of "crude humor".

My favorite parts were the anchor's "terror list" and the Grim Reaper's "Things to look forward to about dying".

Keep up the good work.

Elegant. Beautiful. Touching.

This is an excellent "freshamn effort". Why some may decry the graphics, I think the simple, abstract shapes help to bring to foucus on the story and music (excellent choice of background music, by the way). Shel Silverstein used techniques like that too-- the simple the shapes, the more one can identify.

And it comes with a powerful message too. One of the best anologies on addiction I've ever seen. I have a friend who's an SAC (Substance Abuse/Awareness Counselor), and I'm emailing this to him once I'm done with the review.

Bravo, and I can't wait for your next submission.

Heehee.

I got quite the chuckle out of the movie. The first part was "alright", though I did klike the self-referential nod to the "badly" drawn karate guy.

And there were some other nice touches, likes when the narrator goes "Another day breaks", and the sun rises, to be immediately covered by clouds. ^_^;

The graphic were kinda like doodles, but I think that adds to its charm. The death scene could have been a bit smoother though.

In all, a great effort. Keep it up!
